Indigenous Medicinal Plant Workshop

Join us as we walk through the boardwalk, rediscovering wild, native, and medicinal plants. Through storytelling and hands-on sensory experiences—smelling, touching, and tasting—participants will deepen their connection to the plants around us.

Participants will sample selected plants and take home a two-page illustrated mind map.

About the Instructor
LoriAnn Bird is a Métis author of the Revered Roots: Ancestral Teachings and Wisdom of Wild, Edible and Medicinal Plants. As a mother, herbalist, and educator, LoriAnn shares a deep knowledge of medicinal and edible plants that grow in the most common and everyday spaces. By witnessing and listening to our immediate surroundings, we open ourselves to a relationship with all that exists.
