This spring, the Fraser River Discovery Centre invites children aged 6 to 11 to play, explore, and discover at our week-long spring break camps! Together we’ll celebrate the living, working Fraser River with activities, games, and much more!

Spring Break Camps

Rooted in the River: March 16-20

Grab your magnifying glasses and take a close look at the past, present, and future of the Fraser River. We’ll dive into how humans have lived, worked and changed the river. In this week of camp, we will learn about pollution, science, climate change, and more. Put on your thinking cap and discover the Fraser River!

River Explorers: March 23-27

Get ready to explore the wonders of the Fraser River ecosystem! From Mt. Robson to the Salish Sea, there are thousands of plants, animals, and people who call the river home. Learn and play during this week of camp with plenty of activities and games! Come aboard and join us for an adventure you won’t want to miss.

COVID Policy

All activities include COVID-19 safety measures, including:

  • Face masks are recommended for all campers;
  • Adherence to safe physical distancing between campers whenever possible;
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of interactives and touchable surfaces;
  • Items are personal and for the use of each camper;
  • Hand sanitizer stations located throughout our center;
  • Campers will use the COVID-19 Self-assessment each day before attending camp.

Pricing, Hours and Policies

 

  • Member Price: $285, additional 5% off all fees when registering for more than one camp or more than one camper from the same family. Sign-up for a membership here!
  • Non-member Price: $315 per week, additional 10% off all fees when registering for more than one camp or more than one camper from the same family.
  • Face masks are recommended for all campers.
  • Camps are for children ages 6 to 11.
  • Camps are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise noted.
  • Each camp has a maximum of 16 campers.
  • Camps require a minimum number of campers to run and will be confirmed 2 weeks in advance.
  • You will be emailed an invoice after submitting your registration request.
  • Payment is due in full within three (days) of receiving your invoice, otherwise your spot(s) will be forfeited.
