Meditative Drawing with Taj!

The Fraser River influences our daily experience of living in the Lower Mainland in ways we often don’t recognize. Tap into your relationship with the river with this meditative drawing workshop led by Taj! Their work as a comics artist, storyteller, and printmaker draws on accessible and collaborative processes to create bold, expressive work connecting self to space.

Using meditative drawing and writing exercises, this workshop guides you through observing and depicting the natural environment to cultivate curiosity and develop a visualize the connections between you and the landscape. No experience necessary!

WHAT:

  • Develop a sense of trust in your hand with guided prompts.
  • Practice your observation skills of the landscape around you.
  • Learn to ID local species as you capture their texture and movement.

WHO: While open to all ages, this workshop is intended for adults.
