RiverSchool is a wonderful and rewarding learning experience for students. By providing an engaging and interactive learning experience, the FRDC facilitators encouraged excitement and inquisitiveness in my students which resulted in a great experiential learning opportunity!”

Friends of the Fraser

Since 2009, almost 20,000 students from over 500 schools have gone through our curriculum-based River School programs. They have learned about everything from Fraser River salmon (including the Chinook, which are so important to our endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales), First Nations culture and how the working river helps us in our daily lives.

Your donation of $100 – $499 could help us:

  • Purchase the art supplies necessary for up to 20 of these programs;
  • Recruit and train volunteers needed to help deliver the programs; and
  • Provide programs for up to three classes of 30 students each.

Children are the future stewards of our planet…and your donation will help ensure our RiverSchool programs continue to educate them about the Fraser River!
