We will be joining Dr. Butler at the world famous George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta, BC on Sunday, October 14th for a “walk and talk” about the many migratory birds that use the Fraser River Basin, including the spectacular snow geese.

Dr. Rob Butler is an adjunct professor of Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University. An ornithologist, author, filmmaker and artist, he has spent 40 years researching birds mostly, with the Canadian Wildlife Service as a biologist. His research career began with the social behaviour of crows followed by the ecology of great blue herons that led to the publishing of The Great Blue Heron (UBC Press) in 1997, and then to the migration and ecology of shorebirds.

The cost of this event is the price of admission to the FRDC and includes a ticket into the Riefel Bird Sanctuary.
