Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive and where do I go from there?
Your arrival time is indicated on your confirmation form. Please assemble at the front desk in the main foyer located adjacent to the tall Tin Soldier and the River Market.


What happens with late arrivals?
Please let the host know if you expect one of your guests to be late so arrangements are made for them to join the group immediately upon their arrival.

Where do we park?
Pay parking is available in the lot just east of the Discovery Centre building. This lot accepts credit cards and coins only.

Do we receive a guided tour?
The host will greet you and participate in the 1 hour of Birthday Party activities. The rest of day is open for you to explore the Discovery Centre on your own.

Is food included in the birthday package?
As we have no on-site food services, food is the responsibility of the parent(s). We have a fridge where you can keep your food during the activity portion of the party.

Can I bring my own room decorations?
The party room will already be decorated for your arrival.

What happens if I have to cancel?
Cancellations made with less than one week notice are subject to forfeiting their $50.00 deposit.

What happens if the number of guests changes on the day of the birthday?
You will pay for the actual number who show up (based on the minimum of 10 people).

Do the parents attending with their children have to pay an admission?
One parent per child is included in the fee. Each additional parent will be required to pay the current adult admission charge.

How long can we use the Party Room? 
Morning parties have access to the room from 10am to 12:30pm; Afternoon parties have access to the party room from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.
